- Lewinski, Elhanan Lob
- (1857-1910)Russian Hebrew writer and Zionist leader. He was born in Podberezye, Russia. He travelled to Palestine after the pogroms of 1881 and returned an ardent Zionist. He settled in Odessa and in 1896 became the representative in Russia of the Palestinian Carmel wine company. He was a founder of the Moriah publishing house and supported literary enterprises. He also served as a treasurer and preacher in the Zionist synagogue in Odessa. His writings were published in various journals.
